Our Plan
We want to ensure that our students and staff have what they need to succeed. That’s why the Annandale School Board has placed an operating levy referendum on the ballot this fall.
If approved, the levy would provide $1.4 million ($750 per pupil) annually for the next 10 years, helping us maintain our current staff and programs and replenish our fund balance over time.
Secure New Funding
Protect What Makes Our Schools Strong
Annandale School District is an important community asset – shaping young people, supporting families and strengthening our local workforce. Our dedicated staff, strong academic programs, small class sizes and extracurricular activities give students the support they need to grow, thrive and be ready for life after graduation.
Staff
We have talented staff who are well respected in the community.
Our paraprofessionals are highly trained and make a big impact in the lives of our students.
Our staff is excellent at helping our students succeed and fostering relationships with families and our community.
Multi-tiered systems of support allow staff to have time for planning and for building educational intervention in classrooms.
Education
We offer an excellent variety of opportunities – from advanced career and college courses to dozens of extracurriculars – so every student can find something that matches their interests.
College courses (42 credits worth)
CTE opportunities

Arts, theater and music
Hands-on learning and field trips
Community Support
Our community is deeply invested in our schools, showing up to cheer, volunteer and take part in events year-round. Our buildings are also open to the community for:
Community education, including ECFE, preschool, early childhood special education, and adult education and enrichment
Childcare: Cardinal Kids Club
Youth and summer programming
Adult recreation such as pickleball, yoga, and open gym
Community meetings
The Goal: Provide Quality Education
We project ongoing deficits in the coming years that will force continued cuts to programs and staff and undermine education in our schools.
We know we can’t cut our way to long-term success.
That’s why the district is asking residents to consider a $1.4 million operating levy this fall — an amount we believe is necessary to maintain staffing and programs, while keeping the tax impact as low as possible for our residents.
If approved by district voters on Nov. 4, this funding will go straight to our classrooms – helping Annandale Public Schools stabilize our finances, retain our outstanding staff, maintain strong classes, programs and services for students, and stay competitive.
