The Cost

Protecting Quality Education Through Stable Funding

To protect educational quality in our district, Annandale School District is proposing an operating levy referendum that would raise $1.4 million annually over the next 10 years.

If approved by district voters this November, the operating levy will stabilize the district’s budget and help us retain the staff and programs that students rely on every day.

The district is requesting an amount that is necessary to maintain the staffing and programming the district currently provides, while keeping the tax impact as low as possible for district residents. If voters approve the operating levy:

A home valued at $300,000 would see an increase of
$19 per month.

A home valued at $450,000 would see an increase of
$28 per month.

According to the Department of Revenue’s average estimated market values for residential homes the week of July 28, 2025, the City of Annandale has a median home value of $296,312 (or roughly $300,000). Annandale School District has a median home value of $455,846 (or roughly $450,000).
